According to one dictionary definition, a hodgepodge, is a confused or jumbled mixture so it is a fitting name for today’s post – a collection of items and bits of interesting info that have recently turned up in my mailbox. So here, in no particular order, events, challenges and inspiration for quilters.
Superior Thread – FREE SHIPPING
Anita Zobens is offering Mariners a special deal. You have until November 16 to place a thread and/or needle order with Anita through Cotton Mill Threadworks. Before you complete your order, make a note in the comment section (near the end of the order process) that your order is to be shipped with the Mariners Guild order so you are not charged shipping. All Mariners’ orders placed by November 16 will be sent together in one shipment.

Where do you come from?
Where do you come from? is a worldwide pattern search.
We are looking for local, regional or national motifs, tribal patterns, folkloristic ornaments, architectural structures, cultural, spiritual and natural ornaments, abstract ancient and contemporary symbols inspired by the region you come from, you like to travel to or currently live in – newly interpreted and (re-) designed as original patchwork block.
Participation in the project is free of charge. The deadline is February 28, 2015. Details at: www.quilt-around-the-world.com/en/content/where-do-you-come or see this flyer_wheredoyoucomefrom
